Emrey's Smiles ... :)

Emrey is getting more smiley each day and starting to coo and "talk."  She is really interactive after she eats and then gets her diaper changed.  I think she almost giggled the other day. She definitely can still be a grump at times and quite particular about what she wants--especially during the day the last two days where she wants to be held a majority of the day.  And not just held, but held upright, facing out, with you standing up.  She would even prefer to nap this way.  BUT she has done better at night sleeping from 9:30 PM on Wednesday night to 4:30 AM and 9:30 PM on Thursday night until 5:00 in the morning...so that helps.  We are also trying to lay her down on her own with just a pipe and we go in a put it back in a couple times until she drifts off to sleep--or that's the plan, but it doesn't always quite work that way.  She had her two month check this past Tuesday and we decided she is our "peanut baby" as she weighed in at 10 lbs 12 oz and was 23 inches long.  Owen weighed 12 pounds at his 2 month visit....  She handled the shots fairly well, or as well as a little baby can.  Owen continues to do pretty well with her too and would love to be able to pick her up but he pats her head, gives her kisses and the first thing he usually asks me when I pick him up from the sitter is "baby, baby?"  Owen goes there 2 days a week yet to "hold our spot", which is really helpful.  We hope to be in Iowa next week and hope the trip goes well with two!  Hope to see many of you then!
